The household appliance industry has been an extremely important sector of Polish economy for many years. The production of about 22 million devices of large and small household appliances puts Poland in the first place among European producers in this sector.
Household Appliance Congress is not only a forum to exchange ideas, but also to discuss topics crucial for the sector with important representatives and experts from home appliance industry, including government representatives. The second day of Congress consists of Business Mixer – a meeting of producers, sub-suppliers and service providers, among others startups offering innovative products and services.
Congress will be a perfect place to exchange contacts, experiences and B2B conversations.

Association of employers of household appliances, APPLiA Polska (formerly CECED) is the only representation of producers and importers of the entire sector in the country. Since establishment in 2004, we have been advising and consulting with our members positions papers in topics related to industry, innovation, consumer rights, energy efficiency, standardization or circular economy. APPLiA Polska also monitors the sale, production and export of household appliances in Poland and Europe, as well as is an expert in many key topics related to Domestic Appliance sector. The strength of APPLiA are our members – 33 companies supplying nearly 100% of household appliances on the Polish market and representing almost 100% of all household appliances manufacturers in Poland. Their total revenue from operations in Poland in 2021 exceeded 10 billion EUR.
Lodz Special Economic Zone was created in 1997. For years it has been attracting Polish and foreign investors, who, along with the technological development, create valuable workplaces. Over the last 20 years, over 20 companies producing household appliances and those directly cooperating with them invested in the Zone. Altogether, over 5000 jobs have been created, which makes this industry the main force of region’s development. Konrad Pokutycki is the CEO of BSH in Poland, at BSH Sprzęt Gospodarstwa Domowego Sp. z o.o. A trained economist and graduate of Łódź University. Following his graduation, he lectured for several years in the Department of Accounting at his alma mater, as well as at a number of business schools and the Association of Accountants in Poland. He co-authored a Polish-German- English dictionary for accounting and banking terms. A consultant in financial management, tax consultancy, and information systems in consulting companies. In 2003, he was awarded the title of statutory expert auditor. Supervisory Board, and member of the Zelmer S.A. Supervisory Board. By virtue of a unanimous election, he served two terms of office between 2010 and 2014 - on a pro publico bono basis - as the President of APPLiA Polska - the European Association of Manufacturers of Household Appliances. In 2015, he was awarded the prestigious Vector 2014 award from the Employers of the Republic of Poland for his special contribution to the development of the industry of household appliance manufacturers, as well as for his innovative ideas and solutions that are consistently being implemented at BSH Sprzęt Gospodarstwa Domowego Sp. z o.o.

Graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Łódź. Between 2007 and 2011 he served his legal training. In 2011, he qualified as a legal advisor and opened a legal advisor's office. From 2011, as a legal adviser, he worked at the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture - a paying agency for European Agricultural Fund resources. From 2014 he exercised his mandate as a councillor of the city council in Łódź. In 2015, he acted in the legal aid office of the candidate for President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda. In the 2015 parliamentary elections, he was elected as a member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland. As an MP, he has taken up issues concerning tenants' rights and the protection of cooperative rights, including helping more than two thousand people through the free legal advice provided by his MP's office. He also co-wrote the law on bailiffs and participated in the amendments to the Code of Civil Procedure. He has served as Vice-Chairman of the Extraordinary Committee on Amendments to the Codifications. Since 2018, he has served as Secretary of the Sejm. From 15 November 2019 to 8 April 2022, he served as Secretary of State at the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy. Prior to that, from 4 June 2019, he held this position at the Ministry of Investment and Development. Since 23 July 2019, he has also been government plenipotentiary for public-private partnerships. On 8 April 2022, he was appointed by President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda as Minister of Development and Technology.

For 15 years he has been involved in management of the Polish Chamber of Commerce, KIG and has been appointed as the vice-president in 2017. He is the chairman of the Technical Committee for electrical consumer equipment of the Polish Committee for Standardization, member of the Board of Officers of CENELEC, an European standardization organization. He is the chairman of the supervisory board of the recovery organization ElektroEko SA.In publications, he specializes mainly in energy efficiency, electrorecycling, and market trends.
